Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose.
Mondays / Wednesdays at 9 am
This class concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation techniques (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. The asanas work to make the spine supple, the core strong and supple and to promote circulation in the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures strengthen and stretch the body, promoting balance and flexibility. This class is great for beginners and those looking for specific support with injuries.
All About the Core
Mondays / Fridays at noon
Intense focus on strengthening the core! If our core is weak, the ups and downs of life are much harder to take. A strong core makes us more resilient. Enjoy a short vigorous vinyasa flow which emphasizes moving through asanas (poses) that utilize your core. Inspired by my background in Ashtanga and Pilates, Mula and Uddiyana Bandhas are incorporated to build deep core strength and stability. Strengthen your core to support you in your yoga practice and during your day to day routines. Suitable for students that enjoy a challenge.
Thursday at 4 pm
Vinyasa translates as “placing with intention.” This class introduces Sun Salutation sequences of postures which all connect to each other using your breath. Balancing us from the gross aspects, all the way to the subtle vibrations on a cellular level. This creates a marriage of our movement and our breath, creating balance in our bodies, our minds, and spirits. All-levels welcome.
Tuesdays / Thursdays at 10 am
Shake off the last of the sleep as we begin with breathwork to jump-start our brain, deepen our stretches to awaken the body and prepare for the day. Rest and Restore
Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays at noon
Restorative Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga which utilizes props to make it easier for the body to get into certain poses, and thus, surrender to the pose. Practicing poses using props provides a completely supportive environment for total relaxation. The more your body is supported in the poses the deeper the sense of relaxation. Relaxation is a state in which there is no movement, no effort, and the brain is quiet. Typically, Restorative poses are sustained for ten minutes or for as long as you are comfortable.

Pranayama and Meditation
Sundays at 5 pm
For centuries yogis have practiced asanas (postures) to prepare the body for a comfortable seat. The seat is the crucial foundation for beginning - and sustaining - a solid meditation practice. Shutting out the distractions of the outside world and bringing awareness to one point of focus allows us to approach concentration (dharana) and eventually move closer to meditation (dyana). Why do yogis want to meditate and draw all attention inward? Simple: We want to quiet the mind chatter.
